When I ordered the fabric to make the Immortal quilt shown above, I had to go by the kitting requirements issued by the manufacturer for quantity. The pattern wasn’t yet available to proof, so this was all stores had to rely on to know how much fabric to purchase. Well, it wasn’t until we received the book and I read through the instructions that I found the kitting requirements had been double the amount needed for the border print. So what to do with the extra 4 bolts we now owned?
Kim and I brainstormed one evening and Kim suggested taking 2 repeats of the print, mirror imaging them, and cutting the ends at an angle. It was brilliant, and a pattern and new table runner kit was born. Kim sewed the seam, and I quilted and bound it. Named after the fabric line, the Shangri-La Table Runner is one of our newest kits.
- Table Runner finishes at approximately 15″ x 47″.
- Kit includes the pattern, fabric for the top, binding, and backing. You provide the thread and batting.
- $24.99.
