Good morning Ladies, I have not received my fabric order. The tracking says that it is in Etobicoke but it missed its connection on Dec 9th! I have tried to chat but it is a robot and does not understand my questions. Can you help?
Hi Mary, I am sorry to hear that your package has been delayed. Chat robots are the worst! I'm very sorry, but I'm afraid that we do not have an inside track with Purolator to getting any further information or having them prioritize your parcel. If you type 'delayed in transit due to missed connection' in google, you will get many results about others having this message from Purolator and the same issue. In a nutshell, on top of this being the busiest time of year for deliveries, the couriers are having to now handle all the parcels that would normally have been delivered by Canada Post. As such, every courier is overloaded with more parcels than they can deliver in their normal delivery time frame. We are finding that customers are experiencing delays no matter which courier service is being used. Many couriers are no longer accepting further parcels due to the volume they have yet to deliver.
Ordered but still haven't received it.
I'm so sorry your order has not yet been delivered. I have clicked the your Canpar tracking number and see this message:
2024-12-05 16:47:53 HELD AT TERMINAL EDMONTON Awaiting Scheduled Delivery
Also on the Canpar website, they have now posted the following:
'Note that service to select, super remote destinations where Canada Post is the final mile delivery provider remains temporarily suspended.'
Do you normally receive shipments via courier to your rural address? We have found rural addresses to be taking longer to be delivered, and we don't know if it was due to Canada Post being given the courier packages for rural addresses to deliver or if it is due to the couriers needing enough parcels to make the trip. We have had rural deliveries getting done.
This Canada Post strike is affecting delivery for anyone at this point. It has got to the stage now where some couriers are refusing any more packages.
I'm sorry that we can't fix the delivery situation for you any further as the strike and the courier volumes are out of our control and sorry that it is now seen as a reflection on our business.
Sharon is so wonderful. Like many others, I was on a hunt for fabric to piece a “Crimson Christmas “ quilt. Sharon is friendly, efficient and quickly pulled together most of the pieces I was looking for. The background fabric I was looking for was on reorder status. Sharon promptly notified me so I could obtain my last piece. Anytime I have made purchases in person in the shop I have been met with friendly helpful employees, however when my son came in after work to pick up my fabric purchased on line he was meet with a delayed and unfriendly attention. It was not Sharon.
I'm so sorry to hear of our staff member's less than stellar assistance. In order to turn this into a teaching moment, can you please email me with the date and approximate time your son picked up your order. Thanks so much and hopefully our service will be found to be better next time! Linda
Great quality fabric, order was processed quickly for picking up, the staff is very friendly
I reached out to Linda as I was wanting to place an order right at the beginning of the Canada Post strike. She got back to me immediately and then updated me again once she had her alternate shipping method in place. So great to receive helpful and responsive customer service from a business. Thank you!!
There are several quilt stores in Calgary, each with it’s own "flavour" or focus. Along Came Quilting has long been my first-to-go to store for all. things quilty. They carry a vast selection of fabrics, including batiks in every colour and lots of Kaffe and so many other fabrics. My current favorite fabric for backings is Fireside, and ACQ has it in every colour. The store also carries any notions you could possibly need/want, numerous panels and kits, and a good selection of books.
I’ve taken several courses there too, including some on pictoral and portrait quilting with Roxanne Nelson, (who is awesome, btw!) There is a separate classroom area that, if not being used for a class, is often available for Quilt-Alongs for a very reasonable fee. Sometimes I’ll meet a girlfriend there and we’ll spend the day sewing and chatting, together and with whoever else is there.
The staff of ACQ are very nice women, who are knowledgable, competent, experienced, and approachable. In my experience, they have been very helpful and I always enjoy my time in the store .
Great help when I phone in searching for a product. Very willing to accommodate most requests.
I have really appreciated the help I’ve had both in the store and when I’ve ordered online. The fabric selection is wonderful but it’s really the friendly help with fabric selection, the knowledge of what’s in the store and where it is that have made it all go so well. I’ve appreciated the phone calls to consult when something I’ve asked for is not available and the emails suggesting another fabric. I just couldn’t ask for better.
