In this issue we feature a goldwork masterpiece by Alison Cole, author of the recently released book The Goldwork Masterclass, reviewed in this issue.
Gilt, silver and other metal threads also shine in exciting designs by new contributors Cynthia Jackson and Georgina Bellamy.
Gold beads highlight the blossoms on a purse worked with Japanese-style bead embroidery by Margaret Lee and the superb blackwork on a small cushion, perfect for counted work enthusiasts, by new contributor Christine Burton.
We round out the issue with a new threadpainted design by Trish Burr, a delightful embroidered blanket by Yvonne McMillan Betts and intriguing botanical embroidery worked onto organza by Gary Clarke.

The best quilt store now carries cross-stitch!

Along Came Quilting has always been my go-to store for my sewing needs. I was so pleased when they started carrying supplies for cross-stitching, as now I can get even more of my crafting supplies there. I purchased this kit online and their communication was excellent and delivery was prompt. The kit is high quality and I can't wait to start it. Quick service

I ordered vinyl mesh the week before Christmas and was anticipating a long wait for my order due to the holidays and shipping to the US from Canada but I received my order with a week and it was exactly as pictured

Absolutely amazing selection!

If you are doing a project or looking for a project, this is the place to go. The ladies are very helpful and they have such a very good variety of fabrics and kits. It is totally worth visiting. I love this store very much.
