Update December 15:  CIRB has ordered Canada Post employees to return to work and postal operations to begin to resume on Tuesday, December 17th.  This is good news for everyone with their orders stuck in the postal system this past month.  ACQ will make the decision on whether to ship via post starting Tuesday or use couriers based on how the situation evolves and what might be the best carrier at that time.

Update December 13:  Labour Minister Steve MacKinnon has asked the Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB) to assess the likelihood of the parties (CUPW & Canada Post) reaching negotiated agreements by the end of 2024.  If CIRB considers this unlikely, then to order the parties to resume operations and duties and extend the existing collective agreements until May 22, 2025.  Click here to view full statement.

So we await to find out if CIRB will be issuing back to work orders.

Update from ACQ on December 12:  Almost all couriers handed off to Canada Post their parcels to deliver to many rural addresses as the couriers did not find it profitable.  If you know that Canada Post used to be the one that your parcels were passed to by a courier for delivery, then the courier companies may not be delivering your package.  Unfortunately, we cannot know what addresses this happens with, and any shipping platform/courier website will not tell us this information either.

Note that all couriers are now becoming extremely bogged down with the volume.  Some are no longer accepting parcels at all - going anywhere.  Expect significant delays in receiving your shipment.

Update from ACQ on December 10:  We know that couriers are struggling with the amount of packages they must deliver at this time of year in the absence of Canada Post.  And while some deliveries are taking longer than expected, they are being delivered!  Every day, we are getting the notifications our customers have received their packages.  So be patient, and they will come!

Update from ACQ on November 23:  We have been shipping customer's orders via courier this past week with no problems. Everything is going very smoothly, customers are receiving their orders, and all is good!

Canada Post, our usual shipping carrier, went on national strike as of November 15, 2024.  So what are we going to do without them helping deliver your goods?

Check out our FAQ's below:

Can I still order with you?

Yes, you can place your order as usual on our website.

I am local.  Can I pick up my order?

Absolutely, as always, there is a "Pickup in store" option under Delivery when you proceed to the Checkout page.  Just click it and all the shipping costs disappear.

I am local, but want it my order delivered.  Do I need to do anything different?

No, just place your order as usual with "Ship" under Delivery, and we will arrange for delivery to your street address.  Ignore the reference to expedited parcel at checkout.

I live out of town and have a street address.  How do I get delivery?

Place your order as usual, and we will arrange for courier delivery to your street address.  Ignore the reference to expedited parcel at checkout.

I live out of town and have a P.O. Box address.  How do I get delivery?

Do you have a street address that couriers can deliver to?  If so, please use that address and we'll have your parcel couriered to you.  Alternatively, do you have a friend with a residential street address or a work street address that can be used?

Box numbers cannot be delivered to by a courier as they don't have the keys to your box.

I live in the USA.  How do I get delivery?

Do you have a street address that couriers can deliver to?  If so, please use that address and we'll have your parcel couriered to you.  Alternatively, do you have a friend with a residential street address or a work street address that can be used?

Please note that generally up to $800 will be duty and state tax free.  However, you will be responsible for any possible brokering fees.

I live in a country other than Canada or the USA.  How do I get delivery?

Please use a street address that couriers can deliver to.

Any brokering, duties, tariffs, or taxes will be your responsibility.  We cannot ascertain what these charges may be.  Please check with your local authorities for duties, tariffs, and taxes on imported goods.

Will there be an increased cost for courier or delivery?

We are leaving our flat shipping rates the same.  If the flat rate does not cover the cost for us to have your package couriered, we will contact you with a request for additional shipping funds.  Please watch your email for communication from us.  (Note:  We are finding our flat rates are covering the courier shipping costs in almost all cases.)

What courier will you be using?

That all depends on what courier company is the least expensive.  Also, we've been told that Purolator is best for rural deliveries.  If you have a preference of couriers, please let us know when you place your order.  You may indicate this in the Orders Instructions when viewing your cart as shown below.  Don't forget to click the Save button to save your comments.

Alternatively, email us at askus@alongcamequilting.com or call us toll-free at 1-877-745-6445.

What are the shipping rates?

Everything you ever wanted to know about shipping and our rates are found on our regular Shipping Page.

SewEzi Table Shipping information is found here.

What about letter mail shipping?

We're very sorry, but only Canada Post delivers with letter mail rates.  We cannot ship letter mail when they are on nation-wide strike.

What about insurance?

Our flat shipping rates include up to $100 of insurance on the goods. If you want additional insurance, please select the option to purchase additional insurance when you checkout.  We are still insuring the shipments as we did with Canada Post, however, a signature for the delivery by courier is required.

Can I order and have you hold the order to ship later with Canada Post?

For sure we can do this.  Please let us know when you place your order.  You may indicate this in the Orders Instructions when viewing your cart as shown below.  Don't forget to click the Save button to save your comments.

Alternatively, email us at askus@alongcamequilting.com or call us toll-free at 1-877-745-6445.

How long will it take for me to receive my package?

Not to brag or anything, but we are pretty fast on our part of things.  But once it is out our doors, we have no control.  We will provide out-of-town orders with a tracking number that can be followed for delivery updates and progress.  While couriers are generally the same or faster than Canada Post, we imagine they will become bogged down with volume and their delivery times will be slowed.

I have a question.  How do I contact you?
